Mercedes EQE SUV vs BMW iX50 – The Ultimate Luxury EV Face-Off

Luxury electric mobility in India is no longer a concept—it’s a lifestyle choice. As urban infrastructure evolves and consumer expectations grow, the battleground for electric supremacy among premium brands is heating up. Two giants—Mercedes-Benz and BMW—have entered the ring with their flagships: the Mercedes EQE SUV and the BMW iX50.

Mercedes EQE SUV vs BMW iX50

The BMW iX xDrive50 made its Indian debut in March 2024, introducing an electric SUV that looked like it time-travelled from the future. Mercedes-Benz, staying true to its poised strategy, launched the EQE 500 4MATIC SUV in September 2023, aligning its electric DNA with comfort-first luxury.

Battery, Range & Charging Capabilities

Feature Mercedes EQE SUV BMW iX50
Battery 90.56 kWh Li-ion 111.5 kWh Li-ion
Range (WLTP) 465–550 km 635 km
Max DC Charging 170 kW 195 kW
Fast Charging (10–80%) 32 min @100 kW 35 min @150 kW
AC Charging 11 kW (Wallbox) – 9.5 hrs 11 kW

In the world of electric vehicles, batteries aren’t just components—they’re the heart of the experience. BMW equips the iX50 with a massive 111.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, enabling a WLTP range of up to 635 km on a single charge. That’s the kind of figure that not only removes range anxiety but also empowers long-distance weekend drives without second thoughts.

Mercedes counters with a slightly smaller 90.56 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range between 465 to 550 km, depending on driving conditions. While slightly behind on total range, the EQE SUV offers one of the most efficient powertrains in its class, with energy consumption as low as 18.9 kWh/100 km.

Both SUVs support 11 kW AC charging through a wall box and have robust DC fast charging capabilities. The iX50 can juice up to 80% in about 35 minutes at 150 kW DC chargers, while the EQE SUV achieves similar results in 32 minutes at 100 kW.

Performance & Driving Dynamics

Feature Mercedes EQE 500 4MATIC BMW iX xDrive50
Motor Layout Dual motor (Front + Rear) Dual motor (AWD)
Max Power 408 hp (300 kW) 523 hp (385 kW)
Torque 858 Nm 765 Nm
0-100 km/h 4.9 sec 4.6 sec
Top Speed 210 km/h 200 km/h

The BMW iX50, with its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, produces a staggering 523 horsepower and 765 Nm of torque. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, placing it firmly in sports car territory.

The EQE 500 4MATIC SUV follows closely, packing 408 hp and 858 Nm of torque. Its acceleration from 0–100 km/h takes 4.9 seconds. What sets the Mercedes apart is its buttery-smooth power delivery and a drivetrain that feels engineered for serene, composed cruising—ideal for those who prioritise refinement over adrenaline.

Top speeds for both are electronically limited: 210 km/h for the EQE and 200 km/h for the iX50.

Design and Road Presence

Aesthetically, these SUVs are poles apart, reflecting the identities of their makers. The EQE SUV embraces the flowing, minimalist elegance of Mercedes’ new electric design language. The signature black panel grille with tiny Mercedes stars, 20-inch aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels, and seamless LED light strips give it a calm, sculpted sophistication.

BMW, however, has taken a bolder route. The iX50 turns heads with its massive kidney grille (which is more cosmetic than functional), angular lines, and a confident stance. It’s unapologetically futuristic, designed to provoke and impress.

Inside, the EQE offers an ambience inspired by luxury lounges. With ambient lighting in 64 colours, soft ARTICO man-made leather, magnolia wood inserts, and comfort-contoured seats, it’s a cabin that cocoons you in indulgence.

The iX50 takes a more futuristic, minimalist approach. Its flat-floor architecture allows for a spacious cabin with a floating centre console, slim dashboard, and premium vegan materials. The curved display houses both infotainment and driver info, blending innovation with sustainability.

The Hyperscreen package, if equipped, turns the dashboard into a tech art piece.

Land Rover Defender Octa Review

The Land Rover Defender stands as a symbol of toughness, strength, and sheer off-road dominance. In the world of automobiles, it’s a legend that has conquered forests, deserts, and mountains (as we have seen in countless videos).

But in today’s world, high-performance SUVs must offer more, right? The demand is for not just power but also elegance, luxury, and personality. Enter the Defender OCTA, the most potent and dynamic Defender ever built, redefining off-road engineering in every sense of the word.

Be they the rugged trails or the smoothest roads, the Land Rover Defender Octa is made for those who demand complete control across every surface. Named after the octahedral shape of a diamond, the OCTA fuses rugged performance with modern luxury.

But does it fare well against its competitors like the Lamborghini Urus and Mercedes-AMG G 63? Let’s find out in this Motozite review.

Exterior Bolder than Ever

The Land Rover Defender OCTA hasn’t merely received a cosmetic makeover but adorns a re-imagined stance. In fact, it is taller, wider (and somewhat angrier) than any of the previous editions.

  • – Reworked front bumper and gloss black grille for improved cooling and stronger visual presence. It is also a strong statement for its aggressive design language.
  • – Increased track width by 68mm has taken its stance up a notch, allowing for a wider track presence.
  • – Its ride height is 1.1 inches higher than the other Defenders, giving it an impressive ground clearance of 12.7 inches.
  • – The exclusive 22-inch forged alloy wheels look all set to eat up gravel and glide effortlessly on the highways.
  • – The Carbon fiber accents on mirrors, bonnet, and vents, along with the Octa-exclusive badging give this reinvented Defender a signature touch.

In a nutshell, the Defender Octa exterior is a masterful blend of aggression and sophistication.

Tough on the Outside, Finesse on the Inside

The robust new Defender sheds a bit of its aggression as you step in. The cabin is a nice blend of advanced tech, ergonomic comfort and finesse, and the consistent usage of high-grade material.

  • 1. The Land Rover Defender Octa interior features ‘Body and Soul Seats, ’ which are equipped with six wellness programs and vibroacoustic technology. Different from traditional massage seats, this offers a soothing massage-like experience.
  • 2. Luxury and ruggedness come together in the Defender Octa when it comes to the upholstery with the perfect blend of Windsor leather and Kvadrat textile inserts.
  • 3. The design in the Defender Octa interior also comes with a panoramic sunroof, configurable ambient lighting, and real metal switchgear.
  • 4. Rear passengers get separate climate controls, USB-C charging, and ample space that screams comfort.

Defender Octa Review: Engine and Performance

Under the bonnet lies a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8, borrowed from BMW’s M stable but tuned to Land Rover’s demands. It transforms the Defender from a mountain crawler into a continent crusher.

  • 1. Defender Octa’s power output stands at 635 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
  • 2. The Defender Octa models go from 0 to 100 km/h in a jaw-dropping 4 seconds.
  • 3. The Defender Octa also boasts an 8-speed automatic transmission with intelligent driveline dynamics.
  • 4. Its 6D Dynamics Suspension and hydraulic interlinked setup reduce pitch, roll, and dive on corners and bumps.
  • 5. The towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg, the Land Rover Defender Octa is as utilitarian as it is exhilarating.

Defender Octa Safety and Infotainment

The Defender OCTA may be tough on the outside, but it’s intelligent on the inside. It features arguably the Land Rover’s most advanced tech and safety features yet.

Defender Octa Infotainment & Comfort:

  • 1. 11.4-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen, along with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto for seamless connectivity.
  • 2. 14-speaker, 1300W Meridian Signature Sound System alongside Alexa voice integration for an immersively entertaining ride.
  • 3. Wireless charging and four-zone climate control boost convenience for rear passengers, too.
  • 4. To cope with India’s rising pollution levels, the Defender Octa also comes with Cabin Air Purification Plus.

Defender Octa Safety Features:

  • 1. 5-star Euro NCAP rating.
  • 2. The Defender Octa comes with 8 airbags and reinforced aluminum-intensive architecture.
  • 3. It also features 360-degree surround cameras with ClearSight Ground View.
  • 4. Other safety features in the Defender Octa include Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
  • 5. Emergency braking, Driver Monitoring, and Terrain Response settings make the Defender Octa a robust but super safe beast that will entertain, protect, and adapt, no matter the terrain.

Land Rover Defender Octa: How does it feel on the wheel?

On the road, the Defender Octa cuts a commanding presence with a masterful blend of speed and agility. The recalibrated steering is much more responsive when compared to other Defender models.

  • – Notwithstanding its focus on performance in drive, the Defender Octa provides a comfortable gliding riding experience even on uneven, potholed roads.
  • – Defender Octa’s terrain mastery is such that no surface is too daunting. Be it snowy, sandy, muddy, or rocky, the meanest Defender ever cuts a dominating figure across all terrains.
  • – In addition to that, Defender Octa’s configurable terrain system allows drivers to switch differential locks and throttle response based on the road.

Defender Octa: Competitor Check

The new Land Rover Defender Octa enjoys a place among high-performance SUVs that blend brute force and utility with unmatched luxury. These include the iconic and versatile off-roader Mercedes-AMG G63, the urban-focused BMW X7 M60i, and the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser LC300.

The Defender Octa trumps the Land Cruiser LC300 in terms of performance and boasts better all-terrain functionality than the BMW X7 M60i. And it stands as a tough competitor to the iconic Mercedes-AMG G63, as well.

As for its limitations, even the Defender Octa leaves a bit to be desired, such as:

  • 1. The Indian model does not have all the ADAS features, which are available in the global models.
  • 2. Efficiency isn’t Octa’s forte with a fuel economy of around 5-6 km/l in the city.
  • 3. The lack of diesel options also stands out as a major drawback in every Defender Octa review.

The Verdict: Adventure and Luxury Melded into One

In a nutshell, the Land Rover Defender Octa is a high-performance SUV that goes all in on adventure without compromising on luxury and sophistication. For the Indian market, the Land Rover Defender Octa is not only the fastest Defender yet but also the most desirable one.

Why is it called the biggest leap that the Land Rover Defender has ever taken? Because it gives you the feel of a tailored luxury suite while boasting the capabilities of a super SUV. Whether you’re navigating the chaos of the city traffic or need a companion for a foray into the wilderness, the Land Rover Defender is a spectacular choice!

Our verdict? Its ₹2.65 crore price tag is worth every penny for those looking to drive bold in luxury!

BMW i7 Long-Term Review: Living with a Luxury EV

Since its introduction in 1977, the BMW 7 series has been synonymous with style, luxury, cutting-edge technology, and performance in the executive sedan segment. The German manufacturer’s flagship sedan has stood the test of time (To be fair, it has passed the test with flying colours).

However, the electrification of the automobile industry came as a challenge for the makers of this timeless machine. The demand was simple: the EVs were here, and BMW had to figure out how to make an all-electric variant without losing the X-factor that makes the BMW 7 series special.

The answer that the people at BMW came up with was the BMW i7! An all-electric, super-powerful sedan with first-class comfort, aimed at redefining the premium EV segment. But does it achieve what it aims at? How does the BMW i7 compare with its competitors? Let’s unpack all with our contribution to the long list of BMW i7 reviews.

BMW i7 Interior and Exterior

Even as an all-electric vehicle, the BMW i7 retains all the charm of a luxury limousine that the 7 series is known for. Let’s start exploring the EV, starting with the exterior and the BMW i7 interior.

How Are Things On The Outside?

bmw i7 exterior

The upper daytime running light strips are adorned with Swarovski crystals, giving it a futuristic yet premium appearance.

The iconic BMW kidney grille in the i7 is even more prominent, making it an EV that cannot be ignored.

The ‘Dynamic Light Carpet’ feature illuminates the ground around the car when a passenger approaches or enters the vehicle, making for a memorable welcome experience.

Despite being a large and luxurious sedan, the i7 boasts aerodynamic efficiency in performance with an impressive ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.24.

The frameless windows in the i7 masterfully complement the sedan’s sleek and futuristic look.

How Are Things On The Inside?

bmw i7 interior

Starting on the inside, the BMW i7 features the Panoramic Sky Lounge Roof that extends across the entirety of the roof. It also comes with dynamic LED lighting and multi-colour customization options for ambient lighting.

The smallest of buttons inside the i7 look premium, and the free-flowing use of leather complements the interior’s design language.

Taking passenger comfort and convenience to a whole new level, the rear seats in the BMW i7 recline up to 42.5 degrees.

BMW i7 Safety, Infotainment & Convenience

In terms of its appearance and feel, the BMW i7 interior and other aspects lay a powerful claim for redefining the luxury EV segment and continuing the BMW 7 series legacy. Now, let’s move to its safety, convenience, and tech features.

BMW i7 Safety Features

First of all, the BMW i7 ensures top-tier safety with a 5-star Euro NCAP Rating.

The i7 features adaptive cruise control with Level 2+ Autonomous Driving.

It allows for hands-free driving, thanks to steering assistance and active lane-keeping features.

The Intersection Collision Warning and Evasive Aid bolster the i7’s preventive features repertoire.

BMW i7 Infotainment and Connectivity

The BMW i7 electric offers a theatre screen experience to rear passengers with its 31.3-inch 8K Screen that drops from the roof. So, the backseat becomes a mini-cinema!

The back doors have 5.5-inch touchscreens integrated into them that allow passengers to control window and roof blinds, ambient lighting, rear seat settings, and more.

The BMW i7 comes with the Standard Bowers & Wilkins system with 18 speakers and 655W output along with an optional upgrade to a whopping 35 speakers and 1965W output.

A 14.9-inch touchscreen, the BMW Interaction bar, stretches across the dashboard and enables seamless control for lighting and climate.

Operating on a standard BMW Operating System 8.0, the BMW i7 in India can be upgraded to the 8.5 with the M70 xDrive.

BMW i7 Comfort and Convenience

Equipped with a fragrance diffuser, the i7 comes with 4-zone automatic climate control.

The 5.5-inch touchscreen on the doors offers enhanced control to passengers.

The BMW i7 electric offers ventilated seats, along with heating and massaging features.

Gesture control sunblinds and soft-close doors add to the sheer luxury that the BMW i7 electric provides.

BMW i7 Power and Performance

bmw i7engine

Despite being an all-electric luxury sedan, the BMW i7 packs a punch when it comes to performance and power. So, let’s dig deeper:

In terms of range, the xDrive60 variant touches up to 625 km, while the M70 xDrive has a range of 560 km.

The Indian version of the BMW i7 comes with DC fast charging of up to 200 kW and AC charging of up to 22 kW.

When it comes to speed, the BMW i7 in India offers 544 hp and the same 0-100 km/h time of 4.7s.

How Does The BMW i7 Feel On The Wheel?

Acceleration becomes effortless in the BMW i7 electric, thanks to the instant torque powered by the dual-motor setup.

The standard BMW i7 in India comes with an Adaptive 2-axle Air Suspension and Integral Active Steering (rear-wheel steering).

Even after the much-sportier dynamics of the M70, the BMW i7 is more favourable for comfortable and refined cruising instead of ‘foot on the accelerator’ high-intensity driving.

In a nutshell, the BMW i7 is a large luxury sedan EV that smoothly glides, adorned in all its futuristic and elegant charm.

Pitting the BMW i7 Against Its Competitors

When compared to its competitors, like the Audi e-tron GT or the Mercedes-Benz EQS, the BMW i7 clinches a few battles and falls short in others. Here’s an overview:

Where Does BMW i7 Trump Competitors?

The BMW i7’s sound system, theatre experience, and lounge-like seating surely set it apart when it comes to rear-seat convenience and comfort.

The adaptive air suspension and rear-wheel steering offer a smoother ride.

Another great aspect of the BMW i7 is that it has standard AWD in all of its variants, which is not the case with competitors.

Where Does the BMW i7 Lose Out to Competitors?

The BMW i7 electric falls short of the Mercedes-Benz EQS in terms of range, which reaches up to 770 km.

The Audi e-tron GT defeats the BMW i7 in terms of speed. The former goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds! Moreover, the sportier Audi e-tron GT is lighter than the BMW i7 electric, making it more agile on the wheel.

In terms of pricing, the likes of the Audi e-tron GT and Mercedes-Benz EQS do offer slightly cheaper entry points into the luxury electric sedan segment. However, the BMW i7 does offer competitive pricing when you look at the wide variety of preferences it caters to.

So, as you go looking for more advanced features and functionality, all these luxury electric sedans will fall between the 1.8 crore and 2.5 crore range.

Is the BMW i7 bossing the luxury EV sedan segment?

When asked if the BMW i7 beats its competitors to sit on the throne in its segment, we’ve got to say it’s not that simple. First, let’s just get this out of the way: The BMW i7 masterfully combines luxury, technology, and comfort (no BMW i7 reviews will disagree with that, to be honest).

Whether it is the best-suited luxury electric sedan for you or not is a question that only you can answer for yourself. Do you want ultra-luxury seating and an unmatched passenger experience? Is ride comfort and smooth driving your priority? If you say ‘yes’ to these questions, the BMW i7 is the perfect pick.

However, if you’re looking for a sportier design and prefer speed and agility over luxury and comfort, the Audi e-tron GT or the Mercedes-Benz EQS can be slightly more appealing options. Either way, the BMW i7 is among the most luxurious electric sedans out there! And it is surely carrying forward the legacy of the BMW 7 series in the age of EVs.

2024 Audi Q7 Facelift Review – Motozite

Years after it first dropped on the scene, the Audi Q7 remains one of the flagship SUVs of the company. Audi’s 7-seater has more than held its own in the premium SUV segment, acting as a symbol of cutting-edge technology, versatility, and performance.

However, the luxury SUV sector is fiercely competitive. The Q7 has the likes of the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE to deal with. So, to stay in the fight for dominance (and possibly win it), Audi gave the Q7 yet another upgrade with the 2024 Audi Q7 Facelift.

Have they done enough to trump the competitors? Does the updated version make the Q7 a complete premium SUV in the segment? We’re about to go looking for answers to these questions. You want them, too? Hop on, then, and let’s go for a ride!

What’s New On The Outside AND Inside?

Our first stop will be to find out what’s fresh in the facelift! Of course, we don’t judge a book by its cover and a car by its exterior, but we believe it’ll be better to start from the outside before we step in, right?

2024 Audi Q7 Facelift Exterior Upgrades

2024 Audi q7 Facelift Exterior

The new Audi Q7 version ditches the corporate style for a fiery first impression with a larger and revamped octagonal single-frame grille with vertical chrome slats.

The signature 2D Audi rings on the front and rear have also been redesigned to give it a contemporary feel.

The front and rear bumpers have also been tweaked, and they complement the larger air intakes to give the new Audi Q7 a sportier look.

This new iteration of the Audi Q7 introduces upsized wheels at 20 inches (up from the previous 19 inches). However, the lines and silhouette remain the same.

The brand’s signature Matrix LED headlights in the facelifted Audi Q7 are even more intricate in design and boast high-res road illumination. Its adaptive light distribution helps reduce glare for approaching drivers (so here’s a brownie point for safety, too).

At the rear, LED taillamps have gotten a wee bit sleeker and come with dynamic turn indicators.

2024 Audi Q7 Facelift Interior Upgrades

2024 Audi q7 Facelift Interior

The facelifted 2024 Audi Q7 doesn’t have a lot of surprises to offer. However, space won’t be a problem with the new Audi Q7, featuring super-comfy 2nd row seats and electrically foldable 3rd seats.

The open-pore wood panel on the door pads and the dashboard is a pleasant surprise, though, with its dark elegance. It perfectly contrasts the sporty exterior of his new Q7 iteration.

When it comes to quality, the cabin of the facelifted Audi Q7 is dripping with class. But that’s something we’ve come to expect from and love about the Q7, haven’t we?

It also comes with height-adjustable front seats and a panoramic sunroof that comfortably accommodates those in the rear seats.

The New Audi Q7 Engine and Performance

audi q7 engine

Located under the new Audi Q7 bonnet is the powerful 3.0-litre 340hp turbo-petrol V6 engine.

The smooth and seamless 8-speed automatic gearbox complements the V6 engine and makes driving this luxury SUV an exhilarating experience.

The gearbox and engine together make the Audi Q7 a speedy machine, in spite of it being a full-sized premium SUV.

Security, Infotainment, and Convenience: How Does The New Audi Q7 Fare?

Safety First

First, the 2024 Audi Q7 Facelift boasts a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

It comes with 8 airbags, including front, side, and curtain airbags. Plus, it has a Park Assist feature with a 360-degree cam that gives the driver a comprehensive view of parking maneuvers.

The new Audi Q7’s active lane assist monitors lane markings to provide corrective inputs to help drivers avoid unintentional lane departures.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) alerts drivers about any deviations in tire pressure to prevent mishandling caused by tire blowouts.

Convenience and Comfort

The new Audi Q7 comes with a four-zone automatic climate control system. This allows personalized temperature for the driver, front passengers, and rear passengers.

The technology variant also comes with adaptive windscreen wipers that allow crystal clear visibility.

Infotainment Features

Powered by 19 speakers and a subwoofer, the Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system in the facelifted Audi Q7 promises a concert-like sound experience.

The added two rear USB ports mean that the driver and the passengers keep their devices (and their spirits) charged up throughout the drive.

Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus- a 31.24 cm (12.3-inch) fully digital instrument cluster that provides an intuitive, high-resolution display of essential driving information. It has customizable layouts- Classic, Dynamic and sport view, allowing drivers to switch between different display modes based on their preferences.

Both the 10.1-inch upper touchscreen for navigation and entertainment and the 8.6-inch lower touchscreen dedicated to climate and comfort controls enable intuitive operation for haptic feedback.

Audi Smartphone Interface allows for a seamless integration of your smartphone’s functionality with the Audi Q7’s infotainment system, making it easier and safer to access certain mobile applications while driving.

How Does It Feel On The Steering Wheel?

2024 Audi q7 steering wheel

Powered by a 3.0 L V6 Engine and an 8-speed gearbox, the facelifted Audi Q7 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, making it a fun machine to drive (and we mean ‘really’ drive with a foot on the accelerator).

The Audi Q7 comes equipped with Audi Drive Select, offering seven distinct driving modes. This system allows you to adjust the suspension, throttle response, steering, and drivetrain settings to suit different driving conditions. Whether you’re navigating city streets, highways, or rugged terrains, the Q7 adapts effortlessly.

The cruise control in the new Audi Q7 allows drivers to maintain the pace with swagger and safety, thanks to the speed limiter (which is adjustable).

The facelifted Audi Q7 also comes with an air suspension that promises (and delivers) a comfortable ride. Whether you’re gliding over city roads, cruising on highways, or tackling rough terrains, this intelligent system adjusts the suspension height and damping to provide the best possible driving experience.

Pitting The 2024 Audi Q7 Facelift Against Its Competitors

audi vs bmw vs mercedes

When it comes to pricing, the 2024 Audi Q7 Facelift Premium Plus model starts at ₹88.70 lakh, while the Technology Model reaches up to ₹97.85 lakh.

The new Audi Q7 is a great option in the 7-seater Luxury SUV segment, priced around and under 1 Crore, with competitors like the BMW X5 and Marcedes-Benz GLE being slightly more expensive, in spite of the fact that they’re both essentially 5-seaters.

The new Audi Q7 offers just one petrol engine option, while competitors like the BMW X5 offer diesel options as well.

The diesel and plug-in hybrid option mean that the BMW X5 boasts a significantly better fuel economy as compared to the petrol-only Audi Q7.

When compared to the Mercedes–Benz GLE, the new Audi Q7 does not offer ventilated seats while the former does.

The Matrix LED headlights of the new Audi Q7 comfortably defeat the GLE and X5’s LED systems.

While the Mercedes–Benz GLE comes with Active Brake Assist and Blind Spot Detection, Audi’s Q7 misses both.

Despite its few shortcomings, the new Audi Q7 manages to strike a balance between agility and comfort in its price range of around 1 Crore.

While the BMW X5 boasts its sporty feel in drive, the Mercedes-Benz GLE focuses more on comfort, giving away some of the agility in the process.

And that’s where the 2024 Audi Q7 Facelift packs a punch and sticks to the ‘all-rounder premium SUV’ tag that the Q7 is already known for (especially with its competitive pricing).

What Does The New Audi Q7 Miss Out On?

The new Audi Q7 masterfully balances handling and comfort, bringing it closer to being the perfect premium SUV. However, the new Q7 iteration leaves a lot to be desired.

The lack of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like cross-traffic alert, brake assist, blind spot detection, highway assist with semi-autonomous drive mode, and reversing assistant.

For those looking for a surprise factor (or something new), the new Audi Q7 interior is quite predictable, taking a leaf out of the books of previous Audi models.

The Q7 does not come with ventilated seats, which makes it a problematic drive in hot and humid conditions.

Absence of a head-up display is a missed opportunity.

Premium Plus vs. Technology Variant: Which One to Choose?

The Premium Plus variant is well-equipped with all the essentials, but the Technology variant offers additional luxury and safety features like:

Park Assist Plus with 360-degree camera

Bang & Olufsen 3D Sound System (19 speakers, 730W output)

Air Ionizer and Aromatization for a more premium in-cabin feel

Adaptive windscreen wipers with integrated washer nozzles

Comfort key with Sensor based boot-lid control

If you want the best-in-class experience, the Technology variant is worth the extra cost. However, if you’re looking for a more value-for-money luxury SUV, the Premium Plus variant still offers an incredible package.

2024 Audi Q7 Facelift: The Final Verdict

Just like we always say, the final verdict is subjective and depends on the preferences of every other driver. But we can go back to the question we asked ourselves at the beginning of this article. Does the facelifted Audi Q7 trump its top competitors?

Well, the new Audi Q7 is an appetizing deal in the 1 Crore price range, especially for those looking for a perfect balance between power, performance, comfort, and entertainment. There are areas where the Mercedes-Benz GLE or the BMW X5 might overtake the new Q7 and vice versa.

But does the facelifted Audi Q7 hold its ground strongly in the competition against the other big boys? Well, we just have to say a HUGE YES to that!
