Audi Q7 Signature

Audi Q7 Signature Edition Launched at ₹99.81 Lakh in India

Audi India has introduced a new top-tier variant of its flagship SUV, the Q7. The Audi Q7 Signature Edition has been launched in India at a price of ₹99.81 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition model, limited to a select few units, arrives at a time when Audi is looking to bolster its sales and refresh its portfolio in the country.

A Touch of Exclusivity: What’s New in the Signature Edition?

The Signature Edition of the Audi Q7 is all about adding a layer of exclusivity and premium appeal to the already luxurious SUV. While the mechanics remain unchanged, the enhancements are focused on cosmetic and feature upgrades. Here’s a look at what sets this limited-edition model apart:

  • Enhanced Exterior: The most noticeable change is the revised front grille. The octagonal grille now features a new design with vertical bars, adding to the SUV’s commanding presence. The Signature Edition also gets dynamic lighting, puddle lamps with the Audi logo projection, and integrated window blinds. A metallic key cover is also part of the package.
  • Premium Interiors: Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by luxurious interiors with features like heated and ventilated front seats with massage function, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium B&O sound system. The cabin experience is further elevated with features like four-zone climate control, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit.
  • Safety and Convenience: The Signature Edition is loaded with safety features, including eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, lane departure warning, and park assist. Convenience features include gesture-controlled boot access and stainless steel pedal covers.

Under the Hood: Familiar Power and Performance

The Audi Q7 Signature Edition continues to be powered by the same 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that does duty on the standard model. This engine is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and produces 340 bhp of power and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Audi’s India Strategy: A Timely Launch

Audi India reported 1,223 retail units in Q1 2025, marking a healthy 17% year-on-year growth, with strong performances from models like the Q7 and Q8. However, the momentum waned in Q2, contributing to H1 2025 sales of just 2,128 units, a 14% from the same period last year (2,477 units in H1 2024)

The decline has been attributed to currency-driven price hikes (about 2% from mid-May) and global economic uncertainty. That said, Audi’s preowned division, Audi Approved, grew around 10% in H1, signalling stable demand in the certified used-car market. The company is also rolling out more than 6,500 charging stations under its “Charge My Audi” initiative, signalling a firm EV focus

The launch of the Q7 Signature Edition comes at a crucial time for Audi India. By introducing this limited-edition model, Audi aims to create a buzz in the market and attract discerning customers who are looking for something unique. This move is also in line with the company’s strategy of focusing on premium and high-margin products. The company is also betting big on its electric portfolio, with a growing lineup of e-tron models.

The festive season is a crucial period for car manufacturers in India, and with the launch of the Q7 Signature Edition, Audi is hoping to capitalize on the positive sentiment and boost its sales in the second half of the year.

Final Thoughts

The Audi Q7 Signature Edition, with its cosmetic enhancements and added features, is a compelling proposition for those who want a full-size luxury SUV that stands out from the crowd. While the changes are not drastic, they are significant enough to give the Q7 a fresh lease of life. The limited availability of this model further adds to its desirability. It remains to be seen how this new launch will impact Audi’s sales in India, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.
